About the Author |
Mark Leary is Professor and Director of Social Psychology at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
He holds his Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Florida
and is an international expert on the relationship between self-reflection
and human behavior. Over the past 25 years, he has published ten books
and nearly 200 scholarly articles and chapters on the self, social
emotion, interpersonal behavior, and self-esteem. His books include Social
Anxiety (1995), Interpersonal Rejection (2001), the Handbook
of Self and Identity (2003),and The Curse of the Self (2004).
